**To update the encryption configuration**

The following ``put-encryption-config``example updates the encryption configuration for AWS X-Ray data to use the default AWS managed KMS key ``aws/xray``. ::

    aws xray put-encryption-config \
        --type KMS \
        --key-id alias/aws/xray
